The graves of more than a dozen Union soldiers lie in a double row at the foot of the Mount Zion churchyard in Aldie, Va. About 150 Union soldiers ran afoul of John Mosby s rangers during the Civil War. None of the stones has a birth date, but all share a common day of death: July 6, 1864.
