Marcelino Benitez-Diaz became friends with two parent volunteers who run an after school homework session for ESOL kids at Dominon High School. When they found out he was living on his own, working his way through high school with little help from family, they helped him find housing and furniture. When they found out he did not have a visa, they contacted an immigration specialist and a congressman to help him, and eventually raised money from neighborhood bunko friends and other parents for him to go back to Mexico after gradudation, where he reapplied. Two years later, he is coming hiome with his visa.
