About 17 Americans are currently living in Toronoto after deserting the U.S. military. The House of Commons will soon be taking up the issue of whether to grant them amnesty or deportation. Only one of the resisters makes it to this meeting, Jeremy Hinzman (blue sweatshirt) who deserted the Army during the Iraq war Army four years. He has been in Canada ever since.
