CREDIT: Dominic Bracco II Kathy Klimp of Alexandria and Ashley Klimp of Annapolis brought their adopted greyhounds to watch the "The Great .05K Eastport Bridge Run on Saturday June 14, 2008. The race which extends the length of the bridge began in 1998 to celebrate the reopening of the bridge. The event was created by the Maritime Republic of Eastport a community organization started to promote business after the Maryland State Highway Administration shut down the the drawbridge for repairs.
