09/09/2000 - SLUG-AAXHERRING - LOCATION- Deale, Maryland PHOTOGRAPHER-Marvin Joseph/TWP CAPTION- Herring Bay Watershed Initiative to release results of a year-long surveyof sites that have environmental problems with trash, erosion, pipes spewing dirty water, abandoned boats etc. Pictured, The Deale Pier once had over a dozen abandoned boats that had gallons of gasoline that would pollute these waters, but thanks to the efforts of the Herring Bay Watershed Initiative, these waters seem to be clean for now.
